For Nigel Campbell, an Apex Technical School graduate and licensed automotive educator in the Automotive Service & Repair program, a passion for the trades and passing down that knowledge to the next generation runs in the family. Mr. Campbell’s love of the automotive field started as far back as he can remember—while working on cars as a child.

From Star Student to Admired Automotive Teacher

After graduating from the Automotive Service & Repair program in 2012, Mr. Campbell went back to Jamaica to use his formal training and expand his expertise. He worked hands-on in the automotive trade for three years before returning to Apex to teach in 2015.

Not only does Mr. Campbell hold several Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications, but he is a great example of what it means to be a dedicated student. During his seven months as an Apex student, he was never late or absent, and he received a Top Tech Award in each segment.
