There is no time to waste. At Apex Technical School, be taught the skills you need to enter the plumbing trade. The program covers core skills such as the use of hand and power tools, fixtures, faucets, fittings, DWV piping and valves. You are also taught pipefitting skills, such as sprinkler fitting and fabrication, flange and groove, and socket and butt weld pipe fabrication.
Our plumbing classes give you a total of 900 hours of plumbing and pipefitting training. Half of the training takes place in class where you will be taught history, concepts and plumbing safety. The other half takes place in a business-like manner, giving students the opportunity to apply theory with hands-on training.

What can you expect when you prepare for an entry-level position at Apex’s plumber school?
The program includes a series of six courses, ranging from basic plumbing classes to more advanced courses.

This introductory plumbing course introduces students to basic plumbing safety as well as the history and concepts of plumbing.
In this Level 2 class, students will be taught fixtures and faucets, cast-iron pipe and fittings, installing and testing piping and installing and servicing fixtures, valves and faucets.
In this class, students will be taught about carbon steel pipe and fittings, fuel gas systems, installing water heaters, reading commercial drawings and servicing pipe systems and appliances.
This advanced plumbing class teaches business math for plumbers, sizing DWV and storm systems, private water supply systems, private waste disposal systems and more.
In this level 1 class, students will get an orientation to pipefitting, pipefitting hand tools and pipefitting power tools.
This level 2 class teaches shop drawings and detailed sheets, motorized equipment, pipefitting systems and more.
